WIN Academy Online Header

WIN Academy Online is a Houston County Board of Education public school offering students a
comprehensive 9-12 full-time virtual educational program providing anytime, anywhere learning.
This interactive learning environment is student-centered and academically individualized to build
student agency. We service a diverse population of learners.

WIN stands for “What I Need” whether it’s a certain class, a different environment, an unusual
class time, self-paced progress, accelerated learning, or a combination.

Students work at their own pace, with teacher support provided as they work toward graduation
requirements.

Teachers provide assistance through email, chatting, and face-to-face teacher
support at the Houston County Career Academy.

The lab is open 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Students who choose WIN
Academy Online will graduate with a Houston County Board of Education WIN Academy diploma.

State mandated tests will be taken at the Houston County Career Academy.

In 2019-2020, the WIN Academy Online student body will consist of students who are invited to enroll
based on school referral to help them stay on track to graduate on time.

Future plans are to expand the WIN Academy Online enrollment to any and all students who prefer
to graduate from a virtual high school.

Students must reside in Houston County and be enrolled in the school district to take advantage of these
virtual opportunities.
