Don`t Let the New Hire Process Stress You Out!

Welcome to the Houston County School System. The Human Resources Department is here to assist you with the transition into employment. All new hires must attend a New Hire Meeting to process employment forms. During the New Hire Meeting, the Human Resources Department will share important information regarding your salary, benefits and contract if applicable.

Meeting Information

 

Prior to the meeting, you should:

  • Have received your new hire information via your online application;
  • Come to the Perry Board Office** to be fingerprinted. You will need to bring:
    • $60 cash or money order for the fingerprinting fee.
    • Driver's License and Social Security Card, or other government issued verification i.e. birth certificate, Passport, etc.
    • Voided check or Payroll Deduction Authorization "SIGNED" by your bank representative for Direct Deposit.
    • Be prepared to take a picture for your identification badge.
  • You will be notified via email concerning your Benefit information a few days prior to your actual new hire meeting. If you are making family elections, please bring the necessary beneficiary information such as birth date, SSN, address, marriage license or tax return with both spouses listed and/or birth certificates of your dependents.

 

 

During the meeting, you will:

  • Spend approximately three to four hours meeting with Human Resources professionals;
  • Listen to a benefits presentation in a small-group session;
  • Meet one-on-one with the salary and certification specialists; and
  • Finalize your benefits enrollment.
